Mr. Uuganbayar Otgondorj is a partner at the Firm focusing on banking, insurance, financing, and securities transactions as part of the Firm's capital markets and securities practice. His work involves aircraft-related commercial transactions (including financial and operational leases), routinely advising clients listed on the Mongolian Stock Exchange and international exchange, or engaging in private placements. Mr. Uuganbayar is familiar with the rules and regulations governing the Mongolian Stock Exchange and the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia, the agency regulating the financial sector of Mongolia (excluding banks) and he advises the Firm's clients on domestic compliance and conducting business with/in Mongolia, including virtual asset and service providers in the cryptocurrency market.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Uuganbayar worked as a legal advisor and broker at a brokerage, dealer, underwriting, and investment consulting firm, focusing on trading and listing of joint-stock companies listed on the Mongolian Stock Exchange. He completed his internship at the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia.
Mr. Uuganbayar received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the School of Law, National University of Mongolia. Mr. Uuganbayar is a member of the Mongolian Bar Association. In 2019, he received a license to provide legal services to securities market participants from the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia. Mr. Uuganbayar speaks Mongolian and English.
